Letter From The Chief

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Officers, Firefighters and myself of the Fire District, I would like to welcome you to the website of the South Wheatland Fire Protection District. We are pleased that you have taken the opportunity to visit with us.

It is my pleasure to represent the outstanding personnel who proudly serve the South Wheatland Fire Protection District. We are committed to providing the highest levels of service possible to the public to which we protect.

As Firefighters, we respond to a wider range of emergency calls now more than ever before. Our emergency personnel are trained to respond to emergencies such as medical calls, structure fires, vehicle accidents, vehicle fires, vehicle extrications, wild land fires and much-much more. Most personnel are trained medical responders (i.e.: First Responders or EMT-B’s) E.M.S. accounts for 40% of our call volume.

We would like you to know that the South Wheatland Fire Protection District is a professional emergency service agency, with its #1 priority to provide caring and efficient service to you.

At times the demand on our people becomes even greater to fulfill because everyone is Volunteer. Not only are they doing what they must for the Fire District but they are taking on their home obligations as well. This means not only spending valuable time at home with family but a full time job as well. While we are extremely proud to serve you, we encourage you to stop by the Fire Station and visit with us and let us know what you think.
